With webPAF running on your server you and your fellow researchers (whom you have given a password) can access and interact with your genealogy data from any browser.Here are some key features of "webPAF":· No time spent sync'ing data--everyone is using the same database over the Internet. · OS independent. Even though webPAF is based on Mason, Perl, Apache, and Linux, users don't need to worry about that. Since access is via the web, any client browser will do.Requirements:· Apache2 server· Mason· Perl· SQLite Perl moduleINSTALLATIONSetup Apache2 server. No reason this should not also work with Apache 1.3.Setup Mason to work on webpaf files.Make sure Perl is installed.Install the SQLite Perl module (from CPAN).Initialize SQLite database by running bin/db_init.pl and make the resulting database owned by the same username as Apache runs under.
